Appendix-A: ICT Bus Fault Simulation Results


Fault current contribution by ICTs calculated by using reactance data as shown in Table-3 and Table-4 and by PowerWorld simulation software. Results of simulation are displayed in following figures. Readers are requested to refer these figures while going through this example. It is highly recommended to validate the calculations either by PowerWorld which is available free on net or by some other software available with you.

    The above problem solved by using MiPower software. The fault contribution for single phase fault at 220 kV & 132 kV Bus is almost matching with the powerword simulation results. Also it is same for 3 ph fault.
